Robert Duitz, EA

Robert Duitz prepared his first tax return in 1973 and has been an Enrolled Agent since 1977.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from UCLA in 1971 and is a graduate of the National Tax Practice Institute.

Mr. Duitz is an experienced professional in: complex real estate transactions, complexities associated with employee stock purchase plans (ESPPs), and incentive stock options (ISOs), 1031 exchanges, small business acquisitions and dispositions, tax planning, and handling difficult situations with the Internal Revenue Service.

Professional Achievements:

  • In 1995, Mr. Duitz received a two-year appointment to the Internal Revenue Service Commissioner's Advisory Group (CAG) in Washington, D.C.  As a member of the CAG, he was involved in advising the Commissioner on a number of important tax policies.
  • Past President of the Mission Society of Enrolled Agents.
  • Past Member of the Board of Directors for both the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) and the California Society of Enrolled Agents (CSEA).
  • Past Chair and Member of the Santa Clara County Private Industry Council (Appointed by the Santa Clara Board of Supervisors).
  • Co-Founder of the National Large Tax Practice Owners Group
  • Past President of the Campbell Chamber of Commerce.
  • Coordinated the effort to change the tax law to allow taxpayers to file paperless extensions for California.
  • National speaker on tax issues to other tax professionals.
